MSSPA's Theatre program encourages students to explore their lives as a portal to creating characters. Skills and stage craft are developed in classes such as Acting 1 through 4, Unscripted Theatre, Voice and Diction, and Theatre Movement. Students are instructed in theatre history, literature and criticism. Additional classes in Global Theatre, Advanced Movement, Voice and Diction and History of Film are also offered.

We Emphasize:

Practical applications and connections from classroom to performance
Daily exploration ourselves as the basis for our craft
Opportunities for main stage, musical, one-act and improvisational performances
Participation in the Main Street Actors Guild
Experiences with playwriting and directing
